Day 01 : MEDAN – BRASTAGI
Upon arrival at Medan airport, meet and greet at the airport then proceed on a brief orientation tour visiting Maimoon Palace & the Temple of East Mountain before moving on to Brastagi. Drive through the lush tropical rain forest of Sumatra. Stop off at Peceran to visit a village with a number oft traditional houses that are still being used thence visiting the fruit market of Brastagi
Day 02 : BRASTAGI – PARAPAT – SAMOSIR ISLAND (BL)
Depart for Parapat, a famous lake resort lies on the east shore of Lake Toba. On the way see the slender Sipisopiso Waterfall, visiting the ancient King’s Palace of Simalungun at Pematang Purba and moving on to Parapat through the lush countryside of fruit farms, pine tree forest and a spectacular view of lake Toba along most part of the journey. After lunch leave for Samosir Island. It takes 45 minutes to get to the island by boat.
Day O3 : SAMOSIR – ISLAND TOUR (BL)
After breakfast, Samosir island excursion by boat, featuring Tomb of King Sidabutar and Batak Toba Village at Tomok, next onward to Ambarita with ancient megalithic furniture in front of the traditibnal house and later visit the Simanindo to watch folkdance performance of Batak Toba people.
Day 04 : SAMOSIR – PARAPAT – PANYABUNGAN (BL )
After breakfast returning to Parapat by boat then leaving for Panyabungan, en route visiting Lumban Binanga Village and Balige with its richly ornamented market building, winding along the road from of Tarutung and continue the journey to Panyabungan for a short sojourn.
Day 05 : PANYABUNGAN – BUKITINGGI (BL)
The journey today is rather long but worthwhile as we travel across the Equator. The drive exhibits the inner part of Sumatra with beautiful scenery of mountains, rivers, valleys, and traditional villages. Then proceed to the most charming town, the heart of Minangkabau Highland, and the center of the matrilineal society of Sumatra, Bukittinggi.
Day 06 : BUKlTTlNGGI EXCURSION (BL)
Take a full day excursion exploring the beauty and the cultural aspects of Minangkabau Highland, see the landmark of Bukittinggi, Jam Gadang (Clock Tower), the vibrant local market, and Ngarai Sianok (Grand Valley) thence travel to Koto Gadang known for its silver works and its intricate hand embroidery. The trip proceeds further to Pagaruyung, site of the ancient Minangkabau Kingdom where women ruled in the matrilineal society.
Day 07 : BUKITTINGGI EXCURSION (BL)
After breakfast leaving hote1 for Embun Pagi Look Out to view the beautiful scenery of Lake Maninjau, thence drive further to Harau valley, a natural giant rock formation. In the afternoon return to the hotel.
Day 08 : BUKITTINGGI – DEPARTURE (BL)
Drive for little more than 2 hours through the beautiful countryside of Anai Valley to Padang Airport.
