Day 01 : PANGKALAN BUN – KUMAI – RIMBA LODGE (LD)
Arriving in Pangkalan Bun airport in the morning, a short transfer for Kumai port has been prepared. From the port, you can enjoy a ride on chartered “klotok” (traditional boat), and meet friendly crew (captain, assistant and a cook) on your way to Rimba Lodge. Soon as you reach there, check in at lodge and enjoy the peaceful surrounding view.
Day 02 : TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK TOUR (BLD)
After breakfast, we will lead you upstream to camp leaky area, passing the Black River. In Camp Leaky, our guide and rangers are ready to trek with you into the rain forest, where you can spot various flora and wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and birds. After lunch in the boat, you will follow the feeding program at the feeding platform. Afterwards, return to the boat to reach Rimbal Lodge.
Day 03 : TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK TOUR (BLD)
Start your day by travelling upstream to Pondok Tanggui whilst enjoying monkeys, birds and other wildlife along the shady river bank. Pondok Tangui is the newest estblished rehabilitation center for the new ex-captive orangutans, where the babies and juveniles can be seen. It takes an hour to reach the place from the lodge. Next stop is Pasalat reforestation area, where you can experience the effort to stop deforestation. Lunch will be served en-route on the boat. After lunch, we will take you to Tanjung Harapan Village, a local settlement of both Malay and Dayak not far from the gate of Tanjung Puting National Park. Next, back to Rimba Lodge for dinner.
Day 04 : RIMBA LODGE – KUMAI – PANGKALAN BUN (B)
Depart from the lodge in the morning after breakfast to return to Kumai and then reach the airport.
