A two weeks off the beaten trip will take you to meet two distinctive tribes of Indonesia in their native homelands, The Dani in Baliem Valley and The Toraja in South Sulawesi. This probably once of life time trip begins in either Jakarta or Bali, then off to west Papua where the first week is spent with our expert local team exploring Baliem Valley to meet the Danis which reside in the highland valleys, their ancient cultures were discovered in early 20th century . next hop on to Jayapura to visit the capital of west Papua. Next destination is South Sulawesi, after spending a short night in Makassar and drive further up to Toraja to learn and experience traditional life, thence proceed to Rantepao to explore further of this fascinating region. Visit all the highlights including Ke’te, Kesu’, Lemo, Londa, Bori, Tampangalo etc. Back to civilization with a couple of nights stay in Bali resort to relax.
